Scott began his municipal career in
2009 working for the Sanitation Department in Bethany, Oklahoma where he was
raised. This was also the year he and his wife moved just outside of
Piedmont and were able to begin plugging into the city. In 2013 he was
honored to be a D.U.C.K week recipient. While working at Bethany, he was
able to strive for his Associates Degree in Public Service from OSU-OKC in May
of 2015 and his Bachelors in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene
University in December of 2016. In September of 2016, he began as a
Building Inspector for Bethany. During his time in this role, he became
certified in all residential trades and three commercial trades. This
allowed him to fill the role of Senior Building Inspector while also working
closely with the Community Development director for Bethany. When the
position for Community Development Director opened up in Piedmont, Scott knew
this was his chance to give back to the community that showed so much love and
support for him and his family over the
years.
